On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to explore our local HEB. I think most of our superheroes would agree if you asked them...it was awesome! We toured the Produce, Seafood, Meat, Deli, Healthy Living, and Dairy Departments, getting some tasty samples along the way. :) A few of our real-life applications include analyzing food labels, measuring and calculating cost of produce, and choosing healthy snacks to limit sugar intake. Our walk there also presented the opportunity to apply our knowledge of cardinal directions and elapsed time. Discussing the MyPlate icon with Miss Shannon and Miss Daphne in Produce.
