Jimmy Prune and His Costume
      By:Sebastian Pelz

Jimmy Prune's costume
It covers everything on his body
It covers his ugly bump on my head
If anyone sees him
He will hide under his bed

That bump on his head is so ugly
At least that's what he said

His  costume makes sure
No one knows
That his head looks like a black crows
It helps him hide
His real self
His real self pushes himself around like the ocean's tide
I don't know when he will release
Unless he can could find a way

To do something with himself called pease

 Emotional

      Agility
Renzo Avila, Claire P., Tony

This is stress
It is crazy
Just like a mess

You have to be flexible
Just like a puzzle
So connectable

Emotional agility
It is hard to control
But don't take me seriously
That's just the opinion of me

                 Different

By:Renzo Avila

Different is not bad
No one should be sad
In the heart we’re the same
No should think you’re lame

Let everyone know
It’s not bad to show
Alike and unalike
Were all the same

In the heart

 Look On The Inside

On the outside you might see people that have big lumps
Or even big bumps
On their head.

Someone could have skin that's really light
People could have skin dark as night.
People could have blue hair
Or red hair
But people shouldn't care.

JUST look on the inside
Judge them on the inside then it's fair
Measure how big their heart is
Not how tall or big  they are
JUST look on the inside.
Then see who they really are.

MLK Poem

by Fiona Laing

He suffered pain
not just shadowed away
from the sorrow
and hurt, but he found
his way

Growing up
on a movement
of peace
he became the one
we know today

With his final breath
he wanders away
to his final sleep
knowing he saved
a country
In the most beautiful way

We will remember him everyday.

Reaching Out, Learning about Each Other and the World

This week our focus has challenged us to "be the world to one," rather than just "one in the world." Discussions have run deep with how our actions and words truly have an impact on everyone around us. We also talked about how all of us: humanity and nature make the music of this world, and without our unique voice, that music is missing something. Discover what you want to add to the music. Speak up. Say something. We wrestled with big history this week. We celebrated  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and The Little Rock 5, Ruby Bridges, and the thousands of others who took a stand during the Civil Rights Era. To understand this better, we looked at primary source pictures -- these leaders, their actions, their speeches, their marches -- which brought them to life. We examined timelines and asked powerful questions. Again, another opportunity to look at the world -- right now -- and ask, "How can I be the world to one? What do I want to say that makes...
