  5. Today i learned that the 50th star was put on in July 4th 1960. It was put on for Hawaii that was our 50th state for the united states of America.

  18. I learned that the Gateway Arch in St. Louis was built as a symbol for when the people on the east of the United States moved west through St. Louis to space on the east.

  20. The Gateway Arch is 630 feet tall . I couldn't belive that it took 13 million dollars to build . It was open to the people in 1967. The architects name was Eero Saarien . the Gateway Arch is a beautiful piece of art remebering the westard exspansion
