Wonderful Westcave!

One week ago today, second grade ventured off to Westcave Preserve. Some talking points? We explored the savannah and Heinz Branch Creek, observing lots of different plants like the bald cypress, live oak, and sycamore trees. In the grotto, we saw a waterfall, a cave, soda straw stalactites, stalagmites, cowcreek limestone, and travertine. We also examined beauty berries, ball moss, prickly pear cactus, and scat. We packed a lot of learning into our day!

    I'm glad Savannah and our other good second grader friends are having a lot of fun in their first year of the SBLC! I hope each and everyone comes back next year!

    Noah loved the trip so much and would not stop talking about the Heb trip yesterday ,he is having fun in SBLC
