  2. Today I learned about the M.D.D.
The M.D.D is a thing that helps N.A.S.A launch rockets.
    It was awesome.

  3. I'm surprised that the ice went faster than the wood!?

  4. The thing that was surprising to us was when the truck went farther with the big weight when the ramp was inclined!!!

  5. Something that suprised us was gradient means increasing the slope and so much more!!!

  6. I think it helped with learning what makes friction happen because before I wasn't sure how it worked.

  7. I think the force websurf is a good way to learn what is around you so you can find out about what magnetism, pushing, pulling, friction, ect. is.

  8. Today I learned about Friction and how it slows things down.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Something that surprised me was that they made the way to learn about friction and force very fun and very interesting.

  10. Something that suprised me was that the parachute made the truck go way slower.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I learned that gravity is the force that pulls things to the center of the earth.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I learned about friction and how it can slow things down! For example, carpet slows things down.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I never knew stretching is a force.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I learned that carpet slows down things the most. Also it surprised me that Ice has less friction

  15. I was surprised to learn that compression is not the same thing as stretching. The websurf was fun. Thanks!!

  16. I was surprised that the ice made the sleigh go very fast.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I was surprised that ice made the car/sleigh go so fast and that the carpet made it go so slow. I also learned what compression is.

  18. I did not know that there is a fource of pushing down springs! You learn somthing new everyday!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I learned that there is a force called Compression.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I was surprised when I learned that friction is greatest on the carpet.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I learned that the rougher the surface the greater the friction!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Today when I learned that when something is slick like ice it will move very quickly because it doesn't have very much friction on it. This surprised me because I got confused when we were talking about it in class, I thought that when something moved quickly it has a lot of friction but now I understand I have been wrong all along!

  23. I learned that compression is the force where an object pushes down on the spring than the spring will pushes back at you! Also I learned that you mesaure force by using a object.

Scavenger Hunt: Communities & Heritage

*Parents, this is an in-class assignment. :) Hello, citizens of SBLC! Today, you are going on a scavenger hunt with your partner to explore some of the communities you belong to and the heritage of our state. Remember to treat each other the way we agreed in our SBLC Constitution and--this is VERY important-- read the directions under YOUR grade level!  And of course...have fun! :) *2nd Grade: Our Communities Directions : 1. Add Scavenger Hunt to the Table of Contents in your Social Studies Notebook. Turn to the the next clean page to record your answers. 2. Use the link below each question to find your answers. Record your answers in complete sentences! 3. If you finish early, post a comment with your favorite fact. Then, explore the websites to discover other interesting facts. :) Example : (click on the picture to make it bigger) 1. School The SBLC is a part of  _____________ Elementary.
