It's been a FABULOUS week in the SBLC! Seems like nature has sure had an influence on our time together...cosmic events, temperature soaring, and even Harvey...wow! We love our space and are developing new routines to get us from place to place! Just a quick reminder that your child should be sharing their agendas with you daily and we'd like you to initial at the bottom. Also, the four covered notebooks (ELA, Science, Math, and Social Studies) need to be returned no later than Monday! Thank you! SBLC mathematicians have spent the week rediscovering mathematical habits through a variety of games and challenges. These habits include making connections between concepts, creating/building a visual to accompany number work, and remembering that a deep understanding is more important than speed (especially when you're first learning a new concept!). We were also reminded that our brains grow the most when we're doing challenging work and learning from mistakes. S
