Question 1: Who is the governor of Texas and what did he do before he became governor?

Question 2: What is the date the Texas flag was adopted as the national flag of the Republic of Texas? What do the three colors represent? Glue in your Texas Flag and Texas Pledge side-by-side below your answers.

Question 3: What is the name of the Texas state flower and what other names is it called? Include a drawing of the flower.

Question 4: Find the blurb about the Old Fort McIntosh Historic District. What is it used for now?

Question 5: What is the state bird of Texas and what year was it adopted as the state bird? Include a sketch of the bird.

Question 6: Paraphrase the location description of the San Jacinto Battleground State Historical Park.

Question 7: What is the name of the smallest state park in the United States? Who is buried there?

Question 8: Summarize the paragraph about Goliad State Park.

  2. I loved lerning about the texas state flower, the Bluebonnet!
    Some nicknames we found were buffalo clover, wolf flower, El conjo as the mexicans call it.

  6. I loved and enjoyed learnig about the state bird.THE MOCKING BIRD!It was also intresting to know when it was adompted as the state bird which was the year of 1927.

  7. I liked learning about the state bird because for some reason, i thought it was the HUMMINGbird not the MOCKINGbird. Very confusing. I also liked learning about paraphrasing because I had sort forgot how and it was a good reveiw.

  13. My favorite fact that I learned is that the smallest park in U.S(the Acton Park ) was used to bury Davy Crockett 2nd wife.
