  2. If forces are balanced the speed of an objects will stay the same and an object that is not moving remains still.

  3. When force becomes unbalanced it will change its speed or direction.

  5. Forces are balanced when the forces are effecting the object/item equally.

    ReplyDelete
  6. When forces are balanced the object does not move because they are pulling the same amount, so there ends up being no movement.

  7. Three things force can change about an object are speed, direct and shape of an object.

  13. I learned that force can make more or less friction
and that the surface dose the same!

  14. I learned a toy car does not go very far on polished wood.

  15. Today in science block with Mrs Blake I learned that force is when you push something and it moves and movement is when something moves like when you walk it is motion because you moved.

  16. I learned what an aerospace engineer is.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Today in science I learned that on ice a toy car goes faster than a toy car on wood and polished wood.Polished wood is also called vinyl.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I learned that the force friction can slow down things on wood very slow but almost not at all on ice.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I learned an aerospace engineer is someone who builds engines for planes.

  20. Today in science on my first website I learned that work is when you push something with force and it moves well it is work, force is when you push something like if you push an bookshelf it is force, and movement is when you make a movement as if i was taking a walk I am moving it is movement.

  21. Today I learned that the more friction you put on a object the slower it goes.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I learned that toy cars can't move that fast on carpet.

  27. Today in science on my 2nd website I learned that the pulleys that lift a space ship all together can lift up to 120 tons which is a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  28. there is more friction when something is rough and you
    go slower.

    ReplyDelete

  32. I learned that with a heavier weight the car goes faster.

    ReplyDelete
  33. When forces are balanced on a stationary object the object does not move, but when the forces are balanced on a moving object the object does not accelerate in any way. This is really interesting!!

Scavenger Hunt: Communities & Heritage

*Parents, this is an in-class assignment. :) Hello, citizens of SBLC! Today, you are going on a scavenger hunt with your partner to explore some of the communities you belong to and the heritage of our state. Remember to treat each other the way we agreed in our SBLC Constitution and--this is VERY important-- read the directions under YOUR grade level!  And of course...have fun! :) *2nd Grade: Our Communities Directions : 1. Add Scavenger Hunt to the Table of Contents in your Social Studies Notebook. Turn to the the next clean page to record your answers. 2. Use the link below each question to find your answers. Record your answers in complete sentences! 3. If you finish early, post a comment with your favorite fact. Then, explore the websites to discover other interesting facts. :) Example : (click on the picture to make it bigger) 1. School The SBLC is a part of  _____________ Elementary.
